This is not a bolt on item and must be customized to install this product. We offer this product as a Tubing Kit ONLY. It will require cutting and welding to complete the installation. Please do not ask us to turn this item into a bolt on item, as we cannot do this.
This Y-Pipe is designed to fit perfectly in the stock location, although; it is not a direct bolt on product. We provide this Y-Pipe as a Tubing Kit to allow the user to customize their application. This item can be used with OEM/STOCK Exhaust Systems or with most other catback systems, because you have the ability to customize the application.
This item is made with a tube diameter measuring OD and is constructed from mandrel bent tubing for maximum airflow. Each bend is smooth mandrel bent for increased HP and Performance. The bends follow the factory platform. The hangers, flanges, and O2 bungs are all included with this kit, but they are not welded in place and come separate only.
The designed application of this Y-Pipe was to be able to delete the STOCK RESONATOR... and create a simple retrofit to the stock down tubes coming off the manifolds. The spread between each leg is approximately 16.5 inches, which clears the transmission and sits inside the "humps" of the cross member. We use a ball/socket connection near the y-assembly to allow easy installation and for minor fitment between applications. The "inlets" of each down tube on this y-pipe are expanded and measure 2.5 inches ID (or 2.25 inch if ordered).
NOTE: Using the drop down boxes, you can also choose to use the standard design y-section. Or upgrade to a Magnaflow Resonated y-section for lower volume and less drone.
Average install time is 2-3 hours, but will vary depending on desired application. Horsepower gains vary depending on the level of modification you already have with your vehicle. Average gains are usually 10-15 HP increase. The sound of our y-pipe is low and deep, without rasp.
